Fitting and Balancing

We use the most up to date mechanical tyre fitting equipment available that ensure your tyres are perfectly fitted to your wheels.

Wheel balancing is carried out using modern accurate motorised wheel balancing machines that ensure that the slightest vibrations that result from uneven weight on your wheels are eradicated allowing your car to give you a smoother quieter ride.

Wheel Alignment Checked

If your wheel alignment is not already accurately set to the vehicle manufactures recommended settings your tyres will suffer from uneven wear on the in or outside of your treads, and costing you money.

Uneven wear can affect the handling of the car making it dangerous for you to drive. Other faults may also have an adverse effect on wheel alignment and cause wear, such as a worn wheel bearing; lightly hitting the kerb; or hitting a pot hole in the road. These can usually be corrected or re-adjusted, however there is a limit to the adjustment possible and if the alignment problem was caused as a result of an accident and it cannot be realigned, we can usually offer advice on how you might overcome the problem.

Ensuring your tyres are in good condition, with at least 1.6mm tread depth and at the correct pressure is vital to the overall safety of your vehicle. Tyres provide you with grip and form a key part of your steering and handling control. If you have defective tyres or low air pressure it can effect your fuel consumption and have a serious debilitating effect on your vehicle control.

In the UK driving on illegal tyres can make your insurance invalid and  the fine for defective tyres can be up to £2500 and 3 penalty points on your driving licence for each defective tyre, This could cost you your driving licence, or raise your car insurance.
